Current opening
SIL Vacancies, Redcliffe and Caboolture
We have one room open in our supported living home in the Redcliffe to Caboolture area. We are looking for a third housemate, and we would rather take the time to find the right fit than fill the room quickly.
The room that is open
One place in an established home in the Redcliffe to Caboolture area. Two young men already live here, both easy-going, both in their twenties. The house runs with overnight support and daytime drop-in, so there is help on hand through the night and support across the day without someone hovering.
Who we think would suit
We are looking for a young man, roughly late teens to thirties, with autism or intellectual disability, who would get on with two relaxed guys in their twenties. The right person wants a settled home and easy housemates rather than a busy, high-turnover house. If that sounds like your son, or the young adult you refer, we would love to talk.
Nurse-led, the same team throughout
Our founder is a nurse, so health, medications and appointments are handled properly and changes get noticed early. The team supporting the home is the same team behind our programs and respite, so this is a home held by people who do this every day.
The right fit, not just a filled room
A share home only works when the people in it get along. We would rather leave the room open a little longer and get the match right than move someone in who does not suit the household. That is better for the new housemate and better for the two already here.
Ask about the vacancy
Tell us about your son, or the young adult you refer, and we will talk honestly about whether the home is a fit. No pressure either way.
