Who we are

Adventure Support is an NDIS provider delivering social programs, respite and supported living for young adults across Moreton Bay, from Redcliffe to Caboolture. In this policy, terms like we, us and our refer to Adventure Support.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Information we collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services and respond to enquiries. Depending on your situation, this may include names and contact details, information about the young adult you are enquiring about or supporting, NDIS plan and funding details, health and support needs relevant to safe delivery, and records of our communications with you.

We only collect sensitive information, such as health or disability information, with your consent or where we are permitted or required to by law. Where practical, we collect information directly from you or from a person you have authorised to act for you.

How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess whether our services are a good fit, deliver and coordinate supports, keep the people we work with safe, meet our obligations as an NDIS provider, and improve our services.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the reason it was collected without your consent, unless the law allows or requires it.

Our website and enquiry forms

When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect the details you provide so we can respond to you. This information is used to make contact and to understand what you are looking for.

Our website may use basic analytics to understand how the site is used and to keep it working well. We do not use website information to identify you personally beyond the details you choose to give us in an enquiry.

When we disclose information

We may share personal information with people directly involved in a young adult's support, such as their family, guardian or nominee, and with support coordinators and other providers where this is needed to deliver services and you have agreed.

We may also disclose information to the National Disability Insurance Agency and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission where required, and to others where the law permits or requires it, or where it is necessary to prevent a serious threat to someone's safety. We do not disclose your information overseas.

How we store and protect information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes access controls, secure systems, and limiting who can see information to those who need it to do their work.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, and we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it when it is no longer needed.

Accessing and correcting your information

You have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.

To make a request, please get in touch using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. In some cases we may need to verify your identity, and there are limited situations where we may not be able to provide access, in which case we will explain why.

Complaints and concerns

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. We take privacy concerns seriously and will work with you to resolve them.
