Everyday support
NDIS Community Access and In-Home Support
1:1 support is the steady layer underneath everything we do. A consistent worker your son or daughter actually clicks with, out in the community and at home, building the confidence that leads into the group when the time is right.
What 1:1 support covers
Community access and in-home support is practical and everyday. Out in the community it might be getting to appointments, doing the shopping, learning to use public transport, joining an activity, or just spending time somewhere new with someone steady alongside. At home it might be cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and the ordinary life skills that make independence possible.
It is one worker and one person, so the pace and the plan fit the individual rather than a group.
The on-ramp for anyone not ready for a group yet
Not everyone is ready to walk into a group on day one, and that is completely fine. 1:1 support is often where we start. It builds trust, routine and confidence in a setting that feels safe, and when the time is right we bring the person into Weekend Warriors or the Friday program alongside a worker they already know.
So the first group outing is never a cold start. It is a familiar face walking in beside them.
Matched on the person, not the roster
The worker matters more than almost anything. We match on preference and personality, not just availability, and we keep it consistent so your son or daughter sees the same face rather than a rotating cast. Consistency is what lets trust build, and trust is what makes everything else possible.
How it connects to the rest
Community access is the weekday backbone that runs underneath the whole pathway. It works on its own, and it works as the on-ramp into the programs, respite and, for some, a home of their own. Because the same team hold all of it, moving from one to the next never means starting again with strangers.
